Garden Macros
Over the past few years I have taken a greater interest in summer gardening. I struggle with this term because it implies that I actually have a garden. What I have are a few areas of landscaping around the house in which I experiment with different annuals and perennials in an attempt to break up the expanse of green.
My nearest neighbor is a man who retired in his early to mid fifties. I am convinced that he was a work-oholic and has transferred that energy into his yard. Either that, or the increased exposure to his wife has driven him out of doors. Regardless, I can only hope to approach the level of yard maintenance and landscape engineering that he so enthusiastically pursues.
Like my interest in photography, I am learning through experimentation and by opening my eyes to the beauty of nature's landscapes. At this point, though, my "gardening" looks best through a bug's point of view. As such, this gallery is devoted to macro shots of flowers in my garden and interesting "weeds" in my yard.
Thanks for visiting. Y'all come back now...
